For anyone today deciding they want to learn graphic or web design I thought i would provide you with a jargon buster dictionary.

Websites with Flash aren’t neccesarily all bad. Not anymore anyway as Google and Adobe are currently working together to allow Flash content to be indexed better.
On the other hand 100% Flash Web sites are an exception. Built completely out of Flash, using the Adobe Flash platform they have little power of indexing compared to HTML.
Would you sacrifice of the look and feel of your website for SEO? Fair enough 99% of flash sites look pretty but whats the point in that if nobody can find your content?

No prizes for guessing who came out on top…
Obviously the recession doesnt effect everyone as badly as seen here with Amazon up by 85% and eBay by 16%. Same with coffee, Nescafe and Nespresso have shot up while Starbucks is down by a massive 40%!
The motor industry seems to have taken a pounding which 40% wiped off as a whole with insurance taking the plunge too with minus 48%.
As i predicted Google tops the brand charts, will Microsoft ever regain top spot?

The Advertising Standard Authority annual report came out today and it shows that 2008 broke all records.  The ASA received 26,433 with this as the Top 10 list.

Barnardo’s – 840 complaints – Decision: Not upheld
Volkswagen Polo – 743 complaints – Decision: Not investigated after Council decision.
