Google Street View for Estate Agents

It was only a matter of time before the property industry started using the Google Street View. I came across my first website today which has implemented this tool into their website. Its at http://www.whitehotproperty.co.uk. By clicking Street View in options when viewing a property you should be able to see it, although the service is limited to where Street View has acquired the images. I tried a few but came back with no results but im not in doubt that it doesn’t work.
This is a great asset to the business and like they have said in a press statement “the facility will enable buyers to get a realistic feel for the surrounding area, particularly when researching local amenities and public transport stops.”
This is now a new era in the property business. As we all know houses are all about location so to know where the nearest shops are, nearest pub, schools or even seeing what the view would be like from your living room window. This has to be the way forward for the recession hit property industry and best of all its free!
On top of this also look at http://www.aboutmyplace.co.uk and click “Birds Eye View. Its quite amazing.
As a privately renting tenant im looking to get on the property ladder so ill be interested to see how this interactivity helps the regrowth of property.
Thoughts?
