Billboards, they’re everywhere.

The past few years these have grown enormously and still continue to sell advertising space despite the economic turndown. Im always surprised, as a graphic artist as to the flexibility and ingenius creativity some designers use to put on these boards. Prime example is McDonalds…

This billboard was made of a real lettuce garden growing out of the structure. This is fairly old but its ingenius and to my knowledge the first time a living thing has ever been placed on a billboard.

Lots of marketing departments of companies, especially the several i have seen have always tried to fit in as much as possible into one space so their marketing strategy starts to fail from the word go.

Advertising is always better when its simple! The K-I-S-S motto to a tee.

    I think these billboards are great! I like it when a designer thinks out of the box, Or of the page. There is no way anyone could walk past and ignore these advertisements, they are fun and definitely grab ones attention. I wish more designers would be so bold.
